X for Y

How to add an x for y promotion?
This promotion is usually used when you buy a set number of items for a set price.
The following fields are required for this promotion:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Title | This is the promotion name, and is not visible to the customer |
Display title | This is the message shown on the site in various locations when the promotion is triggered. This can be PLP banner or in the basket line. In some admins there is just title, in which case this is used as both title and display title. |
Start Date | This is when the promotion is available to be applied from |
End Date | This is when the promotion becomes unable to be applied |
Minimum Order | This is the minimum basket threshold amount for the promotion to become triggered |
Maximum Order | This is the max basket threshold amount for the promotion to stop being applied |
Value | The amount of the promotion |
Selected Groups | Enable the promotion to only be triggered if particular items are added to basket |
Number of groups required | This box appears when this type of promotion is selected, in this box you put the number of groups that you need an item from to qualify for the promotion. |

Create a group with the group number of 1, called shoes Select the group using the radio button and add the relevant products to the group either by relevant product lines and clicking save.
Some important things to note: If you have other promotions running on the site you may want to toggle on stackable this allows other promotions to run simultaneously.
Optional Settings
The following options are available but not required for the basic promotion setup:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Rank | Defines the order of promotions which are stacked |
Stackable | Allow for this promotion to be triggered alongside other promotions also being applied |
Free Delivery | Allow for this promotion to enable free delivery |
Free Next Day Delivery | Allow for this promotion to enable next-day delivery |
Free Returns | Allow for this promotion to enable free returns |
New Customers Only | Allow for this promotion to only be usable by new customer email addresses |
Existing Customers Only | Allow for this promotion to only be usable by existing customer email addresses |
Use Discounted Price | Allows you to stack promotions and the subsequent discount can be discounted from the initial discounted price, so two 10% discounts would use the first discount then the second 10% would come off of the discounted price. |
Max instances of Promotion to Apply | Some RCM admins have the ability to limit the instances of a promotion, so that each customer can only get the promotion a limited amount depending on the number entered. |
Site Overlays
For the Site overlays tab: upload new overlay option, this is the small sash/circle image that you wish to appear on-top of a product image. You can:
- Upload a PNG or JPG file (ensure the file-name does not contain any spaces)
- Define the position on the PLP product tile you wish for the overlay to be positioned
- Or assign a PLP banner that will use the display title text rather than an image this can be positioned to the top or bottom
