Shipping

Create and manage shipping methods, edit shipping on orders and add tracking codes to items.

This page explains how to create and maintain shipping methods and how to update shipping information on orders.

Shipping methods are created in Orders → Shipping and then assigned to products in the Products module. Make sure you have the appropriate site and country settings when creating a method.

Video walkthrough

Create a shipping method

Add a shipping type that can be used across products and sites.

Go to Orders → Shipping and click Create new.

Complete the form: Title, Type, Site, Country, Instructions and Cost.

Set rank and the price ranges or product rules the shipping should apply to.

Click Save. Assign the new method to products in the Products module as needed.

Edit a shipping method

Update an existing shipping type when costs or rules change.

Go to Orders → Shipping and locate the shipping method (use filters to narrow the list).

Click Edit on the row for the shipping method.

Change fields such as cost, instructions or applicable countries and click Save.

Update shipping on an order

You can update delivery details (address, method, date) from the Order summary.

Open the order and go to the Summary tab.

Click Edit on the delivery/address area to change address, shipping method or delivery date.

Save changes — verify totals and confirm the updates on the order view.

Add tracking codes to items

Add external carrier tracking numbers to individual order items.

Open the order and go to the Summary tab.

Locate the item and click Add tracking code (or similar action on the line item).

Enter the tracking number and carrier details, then Save.

Tip: If you need to send tracking info to customers, check your notifications settings — some sites automatically include tracking numbers in shipment emails.

Shipping postcodes

Shipping postcodes let you override shipping prices for specific areas — useful when you need different rates for particular postcodes or regions.

To add postcode-based overrides, follow these steps:

Go to Orders → Shipping → Shipping postcodes and click Create new.

Enter the postcode (or a name for the area) and set the price override you want to apply.

Assign the postcode override to one or more shipping methods so it will be used during shipping calculation.

Save the postcode override. The system will apply the override when an order’s delivery address matches the postcode.

Tip: Make sure postcode formats and country/site settings match your shipping configuration; postcode matching may be exact or pattern-based depending on your implementation.
