Returns chart
Weekly returns chart with selectable date range, weekly totals and counts, and CSV export guidance.
This page documents the Returns chart — weekly returns across the year, how to set the date period and how to interpret and export the data.
At a glance
- Purpose: show weekly return activity for a selected period (e.g. the year 2026) so teams can monitor return volumes and trends.
- Primary visual: a weekly chart (bar or line) showing return counts across the selected date range.
- Controls: a date range selector to set the from/to dates; CSV export to download the weekly rows.
Chart overview
- Visual: a weekly time series chart. Each datapoint represents the returns for a calendar week in the selected range.
- Axes: the X axis shows the week start date (or week label) and the Y axis shows number of returns for that week.
- Behaviour: set a custom date range (between two dates) to restrict which weeks are plotted; hover a point to see the exact returns count for the week.
Typical metrics available:
- Returns count: number of returns recorded in the week.
Filters and controls
Date range selector: set the start and end dates to limit which weeks are included in the chart.
How to interpret the chart
- Rising weekly counts: sustained increases may indicate product quality issues, fulfilment problems or a change in returns policy.
- Spikes: sudden spikes often follow promotions or holidays; correlate with campaign dates and shipping/fulfilment notes.
- Consistent decline: may indicate resolution of product issues or seasonal patterns.
