Monthly enquiries
Yearly enquiry totals by month with a year selector and guidance on reading the chart.
This page documents the Monthly Enquiries report — a month-by-month view of enquiry volume for a selected year. Use it to understand seasonal patterns and year-on-year changes.
At a glance
- Primary visual: a bar chart showing enquiry totals per month for the selected year.
- Use case: compare monthly enquiry volumes, spot seasonal peaks and identify months requiring additional support capacity.
- Controls: year selector (top-right) and optional filters for channel, region or enquiry type.
Chart overview
- Visual: bars representing the enquiry count for each month.
- Axes:
- X axis: months of the year (Jan → Dec).
- Y axis: number of enquiries (integer count).
- Behaviour: bars are ordered chronologically; tooltips show the exact count and percentage change vs the same month in the prior year when comparison data is available.
Controls and filters
- Year selector (top-right): choose which year to display.
- Segment filters: channel, enquiry type, region or product category to focus the analysis.
- Chart controls: enable prior-year comparison overlays or switch to percentage change view.
Notes:
- This view is visual-first; if you need a table or CSV export I can add an export action and scaffold the fields.
How to read the chart
- Look for months with consistently high enquiries — these are candidates for staffing adjustments or content improvements.
- Compare month-on-month and year-on-year to spot changing trends or the impact of campaigns.
- Use filters to isolate the contribution of channels (email, web forms, phone) to monthly totals.
