Money Off Promotion

Create promotions that reduce the order total by a fixed monetary amount rather than a percentage.

Use Case: Money off promotions are ideal when you want to offer a specific discount amount (e.g., £5 off, $10 off) rather than a percentage. They work well for encouraging purchases in specific categories.

Required Fields

The following fields are required for this promotion:

Field	Description
Title	The promotion name, not visible to the customer
Display Title	The message shown on the site in various locations when triggered (PLP banner or basket line)
Start Date	When the promotion becomes available to be applied
End Date	When the promotion becomes unable to be applied
Minimum Order	The minimum basket threshold amount for the promotion to be triggered
Maximum Order	The max basket threshold amount for the promotion to stop being applied
Value	The monetary amount the promotion is reducing by
Sites Tab	Select which site to apply the promotion to

Global vs Targeted: You can create a global money off promotion (applies to entire order) in the same way as the global percentage option, or target specific categories using selected groups.

Example: £1 Off Hats with Voucher Code

This example shows how to create a money off promotion for a specific category (hats) that requires a voucher code.

Set up the basic promotion details:

Set up the product group for hats:

Create a group with the group number of 0, called "Hats"
Select the group using the radio button
Add relevant products to the group by assigning a merch page or product lines
Click save to confirm the group

Create the voucher code for the promotion:

Go to the Voucher Codes tab
In the box add a code (e.g., "Hats1")
Click save to activate the code

Auto Apply Option: If this wasn't a voucher code promotion, you could select "auto apply" in initial data to automatically apply the discount at basket.
