Daily despatch report

Orders despatched during a selected date range — chart, table and export guidance.

This page explains the Daily despatch report — daily despatch totals and counts with comparison to previous periods, available filters and export options.

At a glance

  • Purpose: list orders that were despatched in the selected date range and provide totals and counts for fulfilment monitoring.
  • Primary visuals: a bar chart showing monetary totals (compared to the same period last year) and a line showing order counts; a table beneath the chart lists the despatched orders.
  • Controls: a right-hand date selector to filter the displayed dates and an export option to download the underlying rows as CSV.

Chart overview

  • Visual: combined bar + line chart. Bars show monetary totals for despatches in the selected period versus the same range last year; the line shows order counts (today vs last year).
  • Axes: the X axis displays the selected dates; the Y axis shows order totals (monetary) and (optionally) a secondary axis shows order counts.
  • Behaviour: hover a data point to see exact totals and counts for that date; the chart highlights period-over-period changes.

Filters and controls

  • Date selector: choose the date range to inspect (right-hand panel).
  • Export: use the top-right menu to download the chart or table data as CSV.

Table below the chart

  • Under the chart there is a table listing the despatched orders with typical columns:

  • order — order identifier

  • order_date — the date the order was placed or despatched (as your system defines)

  • status — current order status

  • customer — customer name or identifier

  • items — item count or brief items summary

  • tax — tax total for the order

  • shipping — shipping total for the order

  • discount — discount applied to the order

  • total — monetary total for the order

Example rows are the individual despatched orders matching the selected dates.

Sample CSV export

A minimal example row from the CSV export:

order,order_date,status,customer,items,tax,shipping,discount,total
ORD-000123,2026-01-09,Despatched,Jane Doe,3,5.00,2.50,0.00,47.50

How to interpret the report

  • Spikes in totals: indicate high despatch value days — check for promotions or fulfilment surges.
  • High counts with low totals: many low-value orders being despatched — useful for staffing and packing planning.
  • Persistent drops: investigate fulfillment issues, stockouts, or order processing delays.

Walkthrough: get started quickly

Use the date selector in the right-hand panel to choose the period you want to inspect.

Hover the chart to compare totals and counts against the previous year's values for the same dates.

Scroll the table below the chart to inspect individual despatched orders and their details (items, shipping, tax, discount, total).

Click Download to download the despatched order rows for offline analysis.
