Search Balance Factors

Learn how to use search balance factors in Remarkable Commerce Manager to boost or dampen products in search results.

Note: Search balance factors are available in the latest version of the template. Please contact your account manager if you are interested in this upgrade.

How It Works

When a user enters a search term, the normal value is calculated based on whether the search matches the settings, then the boost is applied. This keeps search results relevant but allows for enhanced merchandising.

Creating a New Balance Factor

Enter a search term. To boost all searches, leave this blank.

Choose a facet from the dropdown.

Pick a facet value from the dropdown.

The score defaults to zero. Slide left for a negative score, right for a positive score.

Toggle this on to automatically apply a filter for more accurate results when a user searches for the matching term.

Balance factors for the same search term are grouped together. You can also click the plus button on an existing search term to add an additional balance factor.
