How to Manage dictionary

This page allows you to manually manage onsite search with a variety of tools.

Manage Synonyms

Add a synonym to group together words that you want to behave the same, as they have the same meaning. Adding a synonym means the synonym follows the same rules as the original keyword. On the manage synonym page click on add a synonym, then add the original keyword and its synonym and click Save. For Example. Blazers could be added as a synonym for jackets.

Manage Stopwords

A stopword ends the search query at this word, it helps reduce long tail queries that get no results. An example is Size, so if someone searches for a black and red dress size 18 or 20, the search would stop at size and just return black and red dresses.

Manage Redirects

Search Redirects are for redirecting a search term to a specific page, see Manage Search Redirects for how to do it.

Manage Replaces

A replace is similar to a synonym, it is designed to be used for words that have the same meaning, in this case though the search term replaces the customers actual search term. This can be used for common spelling mistakes and brand terms.

Manage Fuzzy words

The search function is programmed to do this automatically, meaning it corrects common misspellings and “guesses” the word you are searching for. You can manually add spelling corrections such as “lrage” for large.
