REST API (swagger) vs Server-Server Integration

This article briefly explains the differences between a swagger installation and a Server-Server installation of Remarkable Commerce Manager.

REST API Install​

Pro’s​

  • Allows clients to use RCM alongside existing eccomerce solutions or to use in house developers to access our Remarkable Commerce Solution

Con’s​

  • Its a more complicated integration
  • It adds an extra layer between site admin and website

Server-to-server Install​

Pro’s​

  • Good practice to insert content into the page that comes directly from clients’ servers, rather than inserted from elsewhere.
  • Its a complete eccomerce solution, there is no need to use more than one admin.
  • Speed

Con’s​

  • Inital set up may take longer than an headless solution
